Blizzard System-On-Chip Family
Avalanche’s Blizzard System-on-Chip (A-SoC) family solves the problem faced by engineers designing multiple fixed functions. A simple, programmable SoC has the flexibility to replace multiple fixed-function MCUs and discrete logic, thus reducing board space, design time, and qualification of multiple components, resulting in a more reliable product with reduced time to market.
Avalanche has partnered with Google and eFabless to design a family of products with reliability and flexibility in mind. The combination of digital, analog and programmable logic allows designers to qualify one part and use it across multiple projects. The increased functionality – software configurable GPIO, 64 CLB eFPGA, DAC & ADC, CAN 2.0/FD, QPSI, UART, Timer etc. – combined with design techniques to improve reliability, enables a family of products that can be used in Space as well as Industrial markets for “data logging” and “system measurement and control functions”.
This family of programmable A-SoCs in combination with our Gen 2 and Gen 3 Tornado family of discrete memory products give system designers the fastest path to production for high-reliability systems with excellent radiation tolerance.
